Firstly they need to define the problem. Then go on to state the goals or desired outcomes. Next to formulate some way of defining when the problem is solved. And finally include pricing estimates and constraints. Once all this is set out on paper agreed by all parties and signed, then the real work can commence.
Stage two: Design.
This stage will involve producing a range of flat images proposing different design ideas. These can then be whittled down through close negotiation to a final proposal. Graphically these have to 'work' with the methods of site production and any technical constraints of the web.
Stage three: Build.
Construction of the site can now commence, whether it is Flash based or HTML, the graphics can be put together and the navigation can be coded. After which a period of finalisation (polishing) and debugging can be completed, for instance, can we make the interface go wrong?
